This has to be from DESTROY ALL MONSTERS. The rocketship SY-3 and quadruped Angilas launching an attack on Ghidrah (before he grew an "o" in his name)are giveaways.
Looks like I'm late to the party, but let's make it unanimous: this is a painted representation of scenes from "Destroy All Monsters." To correct David, the quadruped is not Angilas; it's Varan. DAM marked the only other appearance (albeit a brief one) of Varan other than his own movie, "Varan the Unbelievable."
Absolutely correct ... almost as soon as I posted I looked again, and there's no mistaking that flying-squirrel webbing under his "arms." Chalk it up to reading and responding in the wee hours...

ReplyDeleteThanks, David!
ReplyDeleteYep. It's the only movie where Ghidrah and Kumonga (spider monster) appear together. This is when things started to get really out of hand.
ReplyDeleteThanks, too, Eric!
