No Linda Miller, but still a nice collectible. I saw this at a drive-in "back in the day," and was convinced it was about the greatest movie ever made. Granted, I was about eight or nine years old at the time, but my opinion has softened only a little.
I've seen very few monster movies in theatres myself -- the first Toho I saw in the theatres was Godzilla 1984 (or was that 1985? I keep forgetting).
I do remember watching this movie on tv as a kid and loving the heck out of it, but that was probably tempered by the fact that, while I'd seen stills from the original Kong in monster mags and books, I didn't get to see the movie itself until my teens!
I do get a kick out of the Toho stuff, obviously, even the lesser movies... and I really enjoy sharing these Mexican Lobby Cards, because they're stunning! Wait until you see some of the Italian ones, called Photobustas -- you'll see monsters in them that don't appear in the movies!
Go-Go Godzilla is my daily Godzilla collectibles blog! Come back daily to check out vintage posters, stills, lobby cards, toys, and other Godzilla-related collectibles, plus stuff from other giant monster movies, like Gorgo, Frankenstein Conquers the World, War of the Gargantuas, King Kong Escapes, and more!
I have been a Navy journalist, word processor, graphic designer, medical assisting student, cook, and truck driver, and am currently an eBay seller as well as an employee at a big retail store. I have been and always will be into comics, sf, tv, cartoons, monsters, oldies rock, and lots of other stuff.
