That monster in the photos at the bottom is clearly アンギラス (Anguirus) in Godzilla Raids Again. (Godzilla became Gigantis the Fire Monster for US release, but that's a whole other story.) I quickly scanned through my copy and the Godzilla and the guy in the corner both seem to be from Raids Again.
I should do a write up on this one for April 24th, its 55th Anniversary!
I don't see エビラ (Ebirah aka The Sea Monster) anywhere in the picture.
The image on the poster is actually 1/2 of the Japanese 2-sheet for Gigantis/Godzilla Raids Again, but just like on a lot of foreign paper (like Italian posters that picture Gamera for Godzilla movies, or have Kong in the title, etc) the image has nothing to do with the movie.
The translation is something along the line of "Godzilla Sea Monster" (Morsko čudovište = Sea Monster) which was the Slovak release title for Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster

Well, I figured it had to be for Godzilla Raids Again/Gigantis The Fire Monster, Michael...
ReplyDeleteSean, I'm curious as to how you know it's for Godzilla Vs. the Sea Monster?
